Here’s a creative way to help clean up our planet: make flower inspired art from single-use plastic bags. There’s a bit of irony in creating ephemeral nature from plastic which will outlast us all, but let’s have fun with the concept shall we?
Join us for an exciting in-person workshop with artist Natalya Khorover. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn the art of creating stunning flower collages using various textural techniques. Natalya will guide you through the process, teaching you how to layer and combine different materials to bring your masterpiece to life.
With Natalya's guidance, you’ll make art inspired by the flowers we are all awaiting for this spring.
No prior experience is necessary.

What you can bring:
Bring various soft single-use plastic packaging from home, like shopping bags and such. If you have embroidery thread which you don’t have use for, bring it too; if you already do hand stitching and have your favorite thimble, please bring it.
Soft single-use plastic packaging incldues shopping bags, wrapping from paper towels and toilet paper, cheese sticks packages, cleaned potato chip bags, bread bags, rinsed frozen food packaging, newspaper bags, mailer bags and any other colorful soft and pliable fabric-like plastic, lightly cleaned.
All other materials will be provided: sharp scissors, needles, options for embroidery thread, a substrate, and lots of inspiration!
